Accessible Selfcare Habits I’ve Been Implementing this Fall

Hi!

Welcome to, or welcome back to my corner of the internet - thanks for being here!

Today I’m sharing some accessible self-care habits I’ve been implementing this fall.

As always, I hope you’ll be inspired by what pieces of this post help you out, and leave the rest ❤.

Accessible Selfcare Habits I’ve Been Implementing this Fall

Quiet time

This has been integral to keeping a level head and organized day ahead, as well as connecting with God.

Reading

I’ve been reading some wonderful books lately. I’ll share a post on what I’ve been reading towards the end of this month.

I have also noticed since I’ve started reading more, my vocabulary, empathy, focus, and creativity have all increased considerably. Above all else, my childhood bookworm self is incredibly satisfied and happy with this remerging habit.

Running

Runners high is a legit real thing! I used to completely despise running. However, since I started running more consistently this past spring, I’ve noticed an immediate boost in my energy and mood during and after going for a run, as well as a sense of accomplishment. Running can also be kind of meditative, because of focusing on my breathing and the motions of running.

Walking

Walks are great for clearing my mind, praying, checking out new or favorite podcasts or music, and providing relaxing physical benefits. The weather in Minnesota has been wonderful this fall, too, and the leaves have slowly been changing - walks have been great for enjoying this aspect of living in a state with different seasons.

Taking More Baths

I’ve been having fun experimenting with different bathtime combinations - I recently shared what’s in my bath cabinet for fall. Take a look, if you’d like some inspo for creating a cozy bathtime.

Zumba

I love being consistent with Zumba for the mental, physical, and community benefits. I’ve met some really wonderful people during these classes. Something else I enjoy is how I’m dancing for fun, not for training to be a professional. I’ve remembered why I enjoy moving and dancing, and there’s no pressure.

Wrapping Up

Self-care is important to functioning and living well. It doesn’t necessarily need to be bubble baths and face masks, although that’s definitely a valid way to take care of yourself. Self-care also doesn’t even need to be expensive! ❤

Until Next Time ❤

Thank you for taking the time to join me today - I really appreciate it! Enjoy the rest of your day ❤.
