Fun Things to Do in Duluth, Minnesota During the Summer Months

There are plenty of fun things to do in Duluth, Minnesota, year-round; there is no shortage of options in the summer. The city is also only a few hours’ drive from the Twin Cities, Minnesota. It’s magical in the winter and comes alive during the summer. So, without further adieu, let’s explore.
Fun and Interesting Things to Do in Duluth During the Summer Months
Parks
The Rose Garden in Leif Erikson Park showcases 3,000+ rose bushes and plants and a gorgeous gazebo. This park is located along the shores of Lake Superior, near the Lakewalk.
Enger Park features a tower overlooking downtown Duluth. It’s perfect to explore during the summer when the tower is open.
Gooseberry Falls is a gorgeous state park located along the North Shore. It contains many hiking trails and waterfalls, and stunning views of Lake Superior.
Food
Betty’s Pies is found about half an hour north of Duluth, in Two Harbors. Minnesota. This restaurant is famous for its pies, featuring flavors such as Turtle Coconut Cream, Raspberry Rhubarb, Maple Walnut, and Great Lakes Crunch.
Northern Waters Smokehaus. Known for its smoked meats and fish, Northern Waters Smokehaus is a great stop. With its takeout window, this is a good place to pick up lunch or dinner and sit alongside the Lakewalk and enjoy the warm months.
Entertainment
Movies in the Park. Looking for some weekend fun in Duluth? Check out Friday night movies in Leif Erikson Park. Beginning in early July, these movies start at sundown.
Shopping in Canal Park. With a variety of shops and places to stop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this is an enjoyable area to explore. Some of these shops are closed during the winter, so summer provides a wonderful opportunity to check them out.
