How To: Decorate for a Cozy Fall on a Budget

I love decorating for fall. Decorating for the changing weather brings me contentment and joy, and helps me make the most of and infuses life into the changing seasons. I’ve also built my collection of decorations for fall throughout the over five years I’ve lived in my current place.
So, without further adieu, let’s take a look at some tips for decorating for fall on a budget!

Get inspiration and come up with your decorating plan in advance. Check out my last post in the Cozy Home category for tips on how to do this!
Create your budget.
Stick to your budget. Don’t feel like you need to buy everything you have your eye on. This might be a little bit of a downer, but hopefully incredibly helpful to keep in mind! Something my husband and I think about when we shop, either in person or online, is: buy at least a little less than you want and/or think you need. This applies to clothes, groceries, non-essentials, décor etc. This has helped us save a lot of money that we otherwise may have spent if we weren’t thinking critically and carefully.
Calculate your total before checkout. Similar to my shopping for clothing on a budget post, I recommend using a calculator (whether it’s on your phone, or you decide to keep a calculator with you – you do you :)!) to determine much you’re planning on spending, and adjust what you’re going to buy from there to fit your budget.
